長く金属で立体作品を作ってきた私にとって、木版画は「空気のような存在」をより直接的に表現できる新しい地平でした。木と和紙の呼吸、絵具のにじみや重なり、かすかなズレや揺らぎ。それらを通して、目に見えない風の流れや、ふと立ち現れる風景をすくい取るように制作しています。
After many years of working with metal in three-dimensional forms, woodblock printing opened a new path for me—a way to express the invisible, the airy presence of things. The breath of wood and washi paper,the blurring and overlapping of pigments,the slight misalignments and quiet shifts—through these, I try to catch the flow of wind, the fleeting emergence of a landscape.
